Cancer in Pets: The Most Common Types

Here's a great article explaining the most common types of cancer pets may face. Here's what it says about breast cancer:

BREAST: 50 percent of breast tumors in dogs and 85 percent of breast tumors in cats are malignant. Spaying a pet between 6 and 12 months of age greatly reduces the risk of breast cancer. Surgery is the treatment of choice.
